Anyone know any reasonably priced and trustworthy repairers in the South Cambs\North Beds areas before I travel greater distances ? I've seen a few sad tales on various forums regarding one in the area, and just want to avoid them at all costs. Lepsons seem to have a good rep but are quite a distance. It could be worth the travel though.

Pristine Alloy Wheel Refurbishment at Woburn Sands, Beds. Slightly further afield but worth travelling. 01908 282628. Speak to Russell. Did a great job on my spiders.

I've heard good things about them as well though not used them myself yet.
Theres also wheel genie in Huntingdon and I know they've done a few TVR wheels in the past. Again though I've not used them so can't really comment on quality.

I know Russell and he is a top bloke. When i needed a new valve on my car a few weeks ago i asked how much to refirb my anthacite spiders. He said it would be about £500.00 to do all 4 but that was influenced by what he called "other" repairs that had already been done, and not being able to gauantee a colour match unless they were done together.

Just to let you know RaceProved now do an alloy wheel exchange - you hand them your wheel plus cash (i can't remember how much it is) and you get a newly refurbished wheel fitted and balanced. Maybe too far away for you, but it's an option.

Leptons did mine and there are faultless and reasonably priced, they even had the proper TVR stickers. No question the best I have seen. Going to send the BBS wheels off my RS6 to them all the way from Glasgow as they were that good!!

I looked at Lepsons and a few others, and decided to go with http://www.wheelworksuk.co.uk/ who are in Crawley, near Gatwick Airport. They do a complete strip, blast, repair and multi-phase bake/powdercoat/bake/paint/bake/laquer/bake process to give a very robust and professional finish.

I had 4x Jade-R 19-inch alloys done in Porsche Basalt Black for £288 all in, which I think is a great price for the amount of work involved. They look superb, had them back about a month now, and so far not kerbed them and I am really pleased with the result.

I drove there to check WheelWorksUK out first, liked what I saw so left them and picked up three days later. Highly recommended, and a bit cheaper than Lepsons in my case which was the deal clincher otherwise I would have gone to Lepsons myself.
