Not sure where to put this but hoping here will be fine...

Long story short: I am racing my old Citroen in a few long distance European races and am going to get a couple of new rear wings cut so wheel changes are easier. Before I make the plunge I've got two main choices:

1) Which shape to have the cuts
2) Which colour to have the wings

My gut instinct is to have the rear wings in black to match the roof. Will also look a little bit more 'rally' I think.

So, any budding photoshop experts fancy having a pop at mocking me up some ideas?

This is my car:

And here are some pics of the various ways people have cut the rear wings...

Anyone with 10 spare minutes and a modicum of design skill would make me a very happy man if I could get an idea of what each would look like in the current red or the proposed black.

Just to add - yes, these will be a spare set of wings just used for racing.

If you look at my second photo of the rear quarter you will see a small chrome bolt on the back just above the reflector. This is all that keeps the wing on - it slides into two male/female connectors at the join and the single bolt keeps it on. Very easy to take on and off but not something you want to be doing when against the clock on the top of an Alp.

I must say I like the orange box cut one too. However, beady eyes will have noticed that it is a coupe - these were never sold to the public, they were put together by the Citroen works team for enduro racing.

I'm not sure if my saloon has the length in the panel to do it properly... hence reason for asking for a bit of photoshop assistance!

You could be right, it seems to come forward of the C-pillar.

Be honest - does that look totally cack?

I'm trying to imagine it all stickered up with period decals etc. I thought I would like it more than that.

Strangely I very nearly had it resprayed in classic French racing blue like this:

Kind of glad I went for the Rosso Corsa though in the end. Red cars make my groin happy.

Prefer them in red, but maybe if the fronts were black also?

Sadly funds won't run to that. 2 replacement front wings sprayed would be £1,500.00 minimum.
