WANTED - Double-din sat nav/bluetooth car stereo system
Discussion
As title suggests, I'm looking for a double-din car sat nav/stereo system that needs to be compatible with bluetooth equipment and iPods/phones etc.
Have been looking at this model - Kenwood DNX7200
Something in this kind of vein would be ideal although I would contemplate a double-din system without sat nav if a sat nav unit can be bought for it (obviously needs to have a screen)
I've heard some positive things about these Navsure units (Chinese?) as well.
Ideally I would want it to do the following:
- Rear USB for iPod connection
- Bluetooth capability to pair with mobile phones (and thus play through acr speakers)
- touch screen
- sat nav
- ideally would like to convert it into a reversing camera as well if possible

I had a Pioneer Avic F920BT.
Amazing unit.
So amazing some scum decided to steal it out of my car.
It's PIN locked and they ripped all the cables from the back (and damaged my leather with a screwdriver in the process).
Don't go for a cheap Chinese unit. You will regret it.
Dad got one, and it's a heap of Cr@p.
Menus take ages to switch,GPS was useless, would not recognise plugged in iphone etc etc.
Hope this helps

Thanks for the recommendation - did these units not come with a detachable faceplate then? I've seen varying price ranges for this model, would you mind stating where you got it from and how much it cost?
I think security-wise, I would prefer one that can be taken away or hidden somehow (if one like this exists)

This was the Navsure unit from Halfords (I guess not Chinese!), seems to have got good reviews but not sure if it matches against all of my criteria

920 doesn't have detachable faceplate.
I think the 2011/12 models, like the F930 have a little plate that detaches.
The difference is screen size, and the quality of the maps between the different models.

If you only want to spend a few hundred quick get a decent single din unit.
The cheaper double dins are a false economy. You will punch the screen by the end of the night I promise you.
I paid about 900 Euro a year ago.

I bought one of those for my Skoda, looks totally OEM and works like a charm! Few little quirks, but nothing that would cause problems. cant recommend it enough!
(same thing, but it is available for most types of cars to look OEM)
