Folk's,

I did not know where to put this one, here or in the lounge. At the pub and the question came up, if you have a criminal record in this country is there anywhere you cannot go for a holiday overseas. I know from the papers most criminals seem to go to Spain. I am guessing that it all depends on what you have to tell their immigration to get in ?

I think the US and Australia are pretty hot on criminal records. I'm pretty sure anywhere in the EU will be ok if you are an EU citizen.

Don't think you are allowed into Spain without a criminal record or at least on schedule to get one

As above, to visit the USA with a criminal record you'll need to visit the embassy in London for an interview (assuming the crime wasn't too serious...).

For travel in the EU, there should be zero problem.

I always thought you "Needed" a criminal record to get in to Australia biggrin

I do like the online immigration forms for US, something like "Are you a member of a Nazi party", who is going to say yes.

Pity we aren't on the ball though as far as immigration goes.

Folk's,

It was just one of those questions that crosses bored / pissed minds. I surpose any South American country is not a proplem. But you are right we don't seem to mind who we let in - holiday or not.

Surely your post would have been more helpful if you'd have put what is correct?
