Are £40k+ Sagaris' selling?
Discussion
Hi,
Back to the question everyone (or maybe just me) loves to ask but I'm curious if anyone knows if the recent price hike (at least in PistonHead adverts) from the average ~38k to ~45k for A-Grade Sagaris' is a reliable indicator of the value of my Sag.
I don't wish to receive the 10+ e-mails asking me if I'm going to sell my Sag (so please don't!) but I'm interested if these cars are actually shifting? They seem to be private sales too.

A1 condition, colour, interior, FTVRSH, engine rebuild/upgrade and warranty would influence the price considerably I would think. The buyers are out there for the right car, even at £43k+. I think colour and interior scheme is the difference when it comes to whether they sell or not at the higher premiums. I wouldn't spend that kind of money on a colour I couldn't live with, even if it is a Sag! I consider myself truly lucky in that I bought the right car, at the right time, with the only colour and interior I ever dreamed of. If I was in the market for my car again, but in today's marketplace, would I pay £45k+ for it??? Damn right I would.

Its supply and demand. If the demand is there and supply is limited, then it depends on how much people really want a Sag and if they will put their money where their mouth is.
I did !!!! May 2011.... and just sooooooooo glad I did too !
It's interesting tho how one's perception of "immaculate" can be different to another's. My car was being sold as immaculate, and it's true it was in fabulous condition, but it's already more immaculate than it was when I bought it and will become more so..

Indeed it is, and with 200+ Sags being built and only 150 left on British roads the supply is dwindling all the time. As the economy picks up and people are a little more willing to part with their cash we might be in a position where supple decreases further and demand increases (£50k+ Sags in a few years???).Dont know why I'm preaching to you guys, I should be convincing the missus so she'll let me have one - purely as an investment you understand!

Yes, that is a great looking car, but it looks like the fool has been driving it!
At least it's not a garage queen
, and is used reqularly and its well looked after. The only reason its for sale is that I had an amputation a few months ago so I am now looking for an automatic car

There are very few very nice Sags out there, fewer still for sale. It's a seller's market and there are enough eager buyers out there happy to pay strong money for average cars.
Would I pay 45-50K for one? Happily if I could find an absolute mint car with sub 10k mileage. Would I pay 40K for an 30K + mile car with mutiple owners, slightly dubious service history, needing paint and trim repair or replacement because they were speced by a blind Mexican - no. But the latter describes too many of the cars that come up forsale.
Not aimed at any particular car for sale on PH at the moment...

Slightly off topic and from my own experience, but high quality / high price Sags seem to sell more so than high price / high quality T350s. I say that as I am now wondering what is wrong with my own T350 that I am selling? Priced too high? Wrong colour? Limited buyers? The annoying thing is I don't want to sell but I need a true 4 seater now.
With a £40k+ Sag, it does appear that people still have a high level of disposable income for such luxuries and would probably buy one just to own one. With a £20k T350/Tam/Tuscan etc, I suppose there is a lot more direct competition i.e. other capable cars in the same price bracket.
All IMHO though.

The market seems to have slowed recently. It is strange why yours and Matts 2005 T350 are not selling. I see you've both been slipping the price down a little at a time. Surely the reason they're not selling is not price related? Both are cheap as chips. Unfortunately, you just need to wait until someone comes along wanting a nice blue T350.With a £40k+ Sag, it does appear that people still have a high level of disposable income for such luxuries and would probably buy one just to own one.
