How do you get a wheel chair in an airport?
Discussion
Hi
I'm about to fly to Spain to bring home an elderley relative (he a major petrol heads, was at Brooklands when Campbell demonstrated Bluebird)
Alicante airport is much bigger than he is going to be able to walk so I'd like to get a wheel chair for him out there and one in Bournemouth too.
I see there is a box to tick on the airline, Ryanair, website if you need a wheel chair, but does this book one for me? Do I have to take one with me?
How does it work?

Tick the box and it's booked for the journey, or should be.
Also note the different codes WCHR for people who can walk in/out of the aircraft and steps, WCHS walk in/out but not steps (for remote stands) and WCHC cannot walk at all.
ETA, you can take your own as well, if you prefer that, but each airport have wheelchairs either for loan, either to be driven by you or by staff.
