I still miss them after all these years.

I have been getting all misty eyed watching , or rather listening back on some of the clips on youtube.

Just thought id mention it.

Used to listen to Mark & Lard in the van (late 90's), Brilliant stuff - Fat Harry White to name but one.
It's nice to have Simon Mayo doing drive time though, reminds me of my apprenticeship in the late 80's.

Best thing on the radio - BBC got rid of them.

Then they had Radcliffe & Maconie on R2 from 8pm. Brilliant show and so the BBC got rid of them into 6music.

The BBC are idiots.

They where soooooo funny they had to repeat themselves 100 times a show and then repeat the same crap day in day out, week upon week of pure unadulterated drivel.

They are gone because they were st and good riddance to st. yes

Some like 'em, some not. With the exception of JP, they were the best thing on R1 there's ever been. They are gone because they chose to go.

Had the Ipod on random earlier - and it came up with 'Manic Street Sweepers - If You Tolerate This Piss Your Bitter Will Be Next' biggrin

Wish I had digital radio at work - Mark & Lard were great, Radcliffe & Maconie - also great. A radio station only accessible via DAB? Not great.
