Do you really need someone, or could you DIY? Door contacts are not too difficult to fit.
+1Usually 2 wires, and it doesn;t even matter which way round they go!
If it is two wires and a proper system, it may be a Fully Supervised Loop... Which means you need to fit resistors, and be very careful how you wire it.
Four wires is more common, and means you have a double pole system... An alarm circuit and a tamper circuit.
Doesn't make it too difficult, you just have to apply logic and common sense.
What system do you have ?
Some systems allow you to clear a tamper fault simply by pressing a reset button or by using your user codes.
Where as another, if the system was professionally installed, the engineer code will probably have been changed from the default code. If you don't know the code then the whole system may need to be defaulted then reprogrammed.
Others will allow you to just default the codes themselves.
It all depends on the system you have really.
HTH.

Me knows nuffick really.Am busy all day today but if you don't get any further help I will try to give you a few pointers later.
As it stands though, as yet I have never needed to user an engineer reset code on the older version of that system. Should just reset by typing in the user code then pressing the reset button IIRC.
As already said, sounds as though at the moment the tamper circuit at the contact is broken which will need re-twisting up or resistors need replacing if previously used.
I take it you haven't opened up the panel.
Sorry Mark only just noticed you have posted up the pics.
Looking at the top picture the zone is run on the red and yellow cores, the tamper is on the blue and black cores.
Looking at the second picture it doesn't really make sense to me how that would work and be the cause of the tamper, if you only have red and black cores to connect up to.
Can you give a wider angle ? Where to the cables go that go behind the skirting ?
Judging by the pic I can't see any resistors connected to top of the contact, so I would suggest the tamper is run on its own loop. Also I'm sure you are aware that the contact should have a plastic cover plate covering the reed switch.

I cant make much sense of that can you get access to another door contact and copy the wiring colours? If you can get an up close shot of an existing contact I can talk you through it. If your not getting any reaction off the keypad you probably have a tamper fault. Where the cables come up for the door try twisting different colours together. When the tamper is cleared you'll hear a beep and then the keypad should work again.
Not sure why there is a resistor in that connector block on this system either....

Hi there, here is a link to the Accenta 8 manual
http://www.tlc-direct.co.uk/Technical/DataSheets/A...
This will be dead easy to do and I'm quite happy to talk you through it by telephone if you like. Just PM me
(I've installed a few alarm systems in my time
)

You pipped me to the post Not sure why there is a resistor in that connector block on this system either....

thanks fella's traced the wire back and found the black and red, put them together and the tamper has gone away. Guess i need to get a new door module, anyone know where to get one from?
Also does anyone know how to set a new program? I wanted to just protect the garage during the night, but i dont have that option
cheers again

You can get door contacts from all over the place on the net. I like the YEND21 from Knights Fire and Security, it's compact and has selectable resistance for FSL/EOL stuff (although you'll just leave the jumper off for the Accenta as by memory they don't have a particular zone resistance but could be handy if ever you change your control panel.)
These guys are pretty good http://www.hunters-wholesalers.co.uk/small-surface...
For part setting you'll find all you need to know in the manual link I gave you above.
