Anyone know a cost per mile to run a Mini One (petrol) convertible.

Girlfriend has been asked to do business miles in her car.

Presumably the cost would include wear and tear, depreciation, tax and what not.

Not looking to make a profit, just make sure she doesn't lose out.

Thanks in advance.

Oh, also, if there is any evidence to back up the figure this would help.

There's a running costs calculator on fleet news' website.

Just thinking the other day, are we,(petrolheads), on the edge of a hidden little goldmine.

BMW sold what seems like hundreds of thousands, of the MINI Cooper S, not the One, or the Cooper, not included here. Most were sold to....lets not beat about the bush, girlies.

Now I have never really seen a Cooper S, driven v. quickly on the road, most do very few miles, and being the fashion accessory they are, are always immaculate, a bit like their owners, (sorry male owners, but your friends must have told you at the time, mind you they were probably Audi TT owners).

But they are now starting to drop into the sub £5k price range, 60k miles.

As most reports always suggest that the S version is a pretty good, nay, very good drivers car, does this mean, just like when Chavs suddenly took over the cheap Impreza MK 1's, men can now rise, so to speak, and claim the Cooper S as the potentially damn good little car it is.

Or will it always be a gay car.

Probably the wrong forum to ask - one full of motoring enthusiasts, who if the drive is good, will tend to buy a car irrespective of external opinion, moreso than the average punter.

Think about it, the MX5 is woven into PH folklore not without reason. That reason is because the drive of it far outweighs the "gay" connotation such cars seem to attract from the ignorant hordes.

That aside, probably more a question befitting the Lounge than GG where a prospective owner is trying to get an idea of running costs...

No I don't own a MINI, but The Wife had an R50 Cooper for a couple of years and I enjoyed every drive in it.

Mine (56reg but hatchback) averages 38mpg around town, can get 50mpg on a motorway run, fun car though that handles like a gokart biggrin

Well yes, you could ask the quoted question there I suppose for the response you're probably after.
