S Series in UK halved in 10 years

I know I've not been in here in a while but thought you guys might be interest in this.

I was playing about with diferent cars I've owned and was quite surprised in the dramatic drop in S Series cars licensed each year in the UK. from 861 to 453 in ten years!

.....those pesky outriggers perhaps??

Judging by this, if you keep your car for another 70 years or so it will be be one of the last ten and worth a fortune! easy peasy

Despite TVR not registering cars correctly I believe these figures are a good barometer of remaining cars.

The assersion that numbers have indeed halved in the last 10 years probably holds true.

10% attrition per year may not be far off the mark. I seem to remember that the proportion of TVRs written off in accidents every year was quite alarming, and by now chassis rust will also be putting the older cars beyond economic repair.
