Ferrari 360.

Hated it. Lot slower than I was expecting.

+1

My dad drove one and was disappointed by its performance, he also thought it felt shoddily built.

Mercedes.
Having been in plenty of Jags, I was expecting Mercs to be better built, better overall cars.
Horrible wallowy poorly put together lumps of pig iron with some of the nastiest interiors I've come across.
Yes, I'm sure some of the £60k+ AMG versions are good, but the ones I've been in have been horrible, and easily bettered by offerings from BMW and Jaguar.

+1 more, rather underwhelming, though I must admit it handled neatly and was very easy to position on a track. Felt like a big Exige, really.

Also, they are shoddily built hehe I was briefly working for a driving experience company that were running three and said they'd been more trouble than anything else. It also so happened that the passenger door was hanging off one of them! You'd open it, and the hinges would drop it to just an inch or so off the floor!

+1. I thought bits were going to fall off the A-Class and B-Class I borrowed for a couple of days.

Current shape BMW 320d.

Fair bit of power, wouldn't get close to the promised MPG, whole car shook at idle, and unless you spend 5k on options is about as well equipped as a 1985 Ford Escort Popular.

Not quite as exotic as other posts, but I can't see why people rave about them.

DB7 Vantage - was the first AM I had driven but it really didn't do it for me. Even took it back early.

Most shocking drive was in a Lancia Delta. Many years back I had an Integrale. Loved it. But it needed some work so took it to a specialist. They gave me a bog-standard and worn out normal Delta as a curtesy car. Most hateful piece of s*** I have ever driven and I couldnt believe my beloved Integrale was in any way related to it: a bit like finding out Susan Boyle was Penelope Cruz's sister!

S2000

Really wanted to like it, didnt like the power delivery or the 'skittish' back end when driving on dampish roads. Admittably only drove for about 30 minutes......

That's exactly the same as the one I rented in Florida a few years back - and yes it was depressing, especially as I missed out on the special V8 version Hertz were hiring out as they'd just rented out the last one. frown

I'd add the last Civic Type R - I test drove it a couple of times and went out and bought a MK5 Golf Gti - the Civic promised so much but failed to deliver, especially after how much better the one before was.

Because I'd been on the owners club a year, I expected the Corsa 1.8 Sri to be a decent car, I thought it was st even though I was 18 and should have loved the little thing

Sold it within a month and bought a saxo vts :P
