Buy them on condition, not mileage - 40k will probably not worry one of these cars at all if it's looked after well, but 22k of harsh driving will not reflect well. And since you're going to be putting rather a few miles on the car anyway, I wouldn't feel much need to start off with a more expensive low-miler, and then lop a load off its value! smile

I found the Roadster to be absolutely fabulous, the noise surrounds you in such a wonderful (and at times somewhat brutal!) way, and yet with the roof up it feels very much like a coupé, very high quality. Have a drive of both if you can and see what you think, but with the ease and speed of dropping the roof on the Roadster, even in moving traffic, I think you might use it more than you expect. I know I would!

I am "informed" that, should you remove fuse number 24 from the box, the exhaust baffles will be permanently open. Not sure if this is true, but the one I was in was certainly bloody noisy hehe

It's fuse 22 and you're right about it leaving the baffles open permanently. thumbup

As said above, buy on overall condition, not mileage.
