What are they using to hear these cars? No houses for miles around the tunnel are there?

OK so perhaps, we should use the old road and god up and down there rolleyes

Puts me in mind of the people who move near to Goodwood and then complain about the noise.

The old road is closed after the devil's Punchbowl car park (going North). There are houses quite close to the tunnel exits and the majority of the problems are idiots doing donuts and general showboating when they take the roads to loop back to the tunnel. there are people living along there!

Guilty as charged - but it was Sunday pm not silly O'Clock in the am. I was sensible on the exits and turning round though, but that is a relative term

I am sorry it may have been me !! On the way to the tunnel i said over and over again, it is childish to drop down a couple of gears and floor it, just to hear that Chim 4.5 roar. When i got into the tunnel i dont know what happened. The next thing i knew was me saying " Wow listen to that ! ". Jim.

Think I may pop along with with mine ,,,,, not the loudest but at 120dB they'll be happy with the local traffic hehe

Did this on one of my construction sites, sound limit on site which we needed to exceed... so took the tiv to work for a few days and did some running about..... no issue with the loud working on site hehe

I thought they had average speed cameras along the tunnel?

They do, one before the entrance, one after the exit. Average speed normally 70MPH, reduces to 40MPH if there are problems!

Exactly mark, had the same years back. Live about 3 miles from Filton airfield where they used to service the Vulcan bombers & also it was the test bed for the Concorde's Olympus engine's back in late sixty's. Lots of new people were up in arms AFTER they moved in ??
