I get this all the time when I'm doing drops in my van. Usually old guys and some go right out of their way to tell you!

I know, I was the one that put them on!
The van is usually running as well so it makes no difference.

I'd be very happy if somebody told me I'd left mine on. Unfortunatly they haven't, and my cars had to be jump started twice now furious

I did point this out to somebody at the gym once in his new Audi. He was quite happy for me to tell him this, and even more happy to tell me the car is supposed to and then turns them off itself rotate

Get this all time as car has coming home / leaving home lights which stay on for 10 secs.

You can have some fun as by the time they tell you, you can say "no there not", they look round and have a confused look on their face

If I had locked the van and was walking away then yes, I would be happy. But when I'm in the van with the engine running silly

I had a policeman stop me as I walked back to a Merc I was running to warn me the front foglights were on, I had to explain they were see you home lights that came on with the central locking, he was quite impressed.

I get this regularly at work when I'm using the Golf. The lights stay on for a minute or two before switching off automatically.
