Interesting club recommendations... thatcham/newbury area

I'm looking for an interesting club to join in the Thatcham area for something to do the odd evening. I'm looking for any suggestions really... doesn't need to be about cars... can be anything really as long as there's a decent social element. Am in early 40s and if that makes any difference.
