Hi,

Does anybody know how much it costs to park a modern car at Spa 6 hours this year? I know a Classic is free, but can't find info on ordinary cars.

I dont think you have to pay to park, It's Belgium not the UK.

Thanks for your reply, but according to the web site for the event, it says:

Arriving in a modern vehicle and following the itinerary signs you may park your vehicle in either the parking 1 or parking 2. The parking charges are set at the discretion of those in charge of the circuit, and in favour of the latter. As such our organisation is in no way involved in this costing.

I can't be definite as I only go there racing but I haven't seen them taking money for parking before, only for entry as you walk out of the car park. You could PM dinkel, he goes most years and in a modern car afaik.

Thanks for info, however I am new to this, how do I PM dinkel - and what does that mean?
Presume I am the only one on the planet to ask this?

PM = Private message, don't worry I'll do it and get back to you.
Edited; I've emailed him so should have an answer soon although if you are going all that way and paying to get in the car park fee (if any should be a minor incidental)

Parking isn't free, I believe it was 5€ last year.

Thanks for your replies - and as you say, if you are going all that way, parking charges should not be a topic for discussion, however, as the event is so reasonably priced, I was interested to see if the circuit liked to charge a significant amount, again, as it says on the web site:

The parking charges are set at the discretion of those in charge of the circuit, and in favour of the latter. As such our organisation is in no way involved in this costing.

But I don't want to appear a cheapskate, I just was interested that is all.

Tim, come and say hello, we'll be in the Shopping centre car park. Mine is the yellow D-type replica.

Car parking is supposedly free, you pay to get into the track on the gate.

I've been lucky enough to get a free pit crew parking pass for the last few endurances but spoke to my mate and he had to pay to park last year in the public car park, he cant remember exactly how much but he seems to think it was 5 euro.

Hi all. Just joined as I have been attending this event for 4 yrs now and thought I'd better make myself known.

Like the others I seem to remember the parking being €5 and if memory serves that is valid for all 3 days.

Really looking forward to the event - lets just hope its not quite as wet as last yr!

Thanks all for the info, I just thought that as the event was so well priced [i.e cheap] they would try and sting you for €50 or similar to park - they would do in the UK I would think.
