Hi all,

just a couple of questions, just completed a trip over in europe and clocked up a nice 1100 miles trouble free apart from when i locked the car and couldnt get back in for a few minutes!!

Now my first question is...

would this be down to the fact that the tam had been out in the rain solid for a few days at the ring (tvr old timer wkend ) and that the electrics had got soaing wet some how or could it be that the batteries on the key fob are on the way out?

second question is,

have a warning flash up now and then which says oil presure sensor but car is performing ok there doesnt seem to be any glitches anywhere.

so what could this mean?

thanks for any advice in advance

Oil pressure sender is on its way out. mine used to do this, if the sender sees a drop/spike in pressure you get the warning flash up then go out on the dash. I would first check to make sure the wires are secure on the sender just in case.

I would change it sooner rather than later. If its not a faulty sender and you ARE getting low oil pressure it could mean bye-bye engine. £70 and 15 mins well spent.

Regarding the alarm, I would go with flat fob battery or the micro-switch on the plipper is failing. If its water I would expect more wierdness than just not opening. If you don't know where the alarm ECU box is (which is the same as the PS door ECU), email me and I will tell you.
