My wife is driving my car at the moment and is therefore insured as a named driver on my insurance.
We sold her car about a year ago, so the question I need to ask is: How long is it before she loses
her NCB from her old insurance and has to start again if she hasn't owned a car?

IRCC its normally 2 years from when her policy ends, but best to check your policy docs if you still have them.

I think I read somewhere it is 2 years but you would need proof of that NCB at the time of renewal.

May be different for different insurers.
