North York Moors / Coast Hotel

Suggestions please ladies and gents......

luxury hotel for access to coast and or north yorkshire area.

Was thinking large country house style out on the moors rather than small boutique in a market town.

Open to suggestion though for the right place.

I had looked at that place actually - does look very nice.

Open to suggestion rather than sticking specifically to the OP.

The Caterham hire is tempting though......

At one time the Raven Hall Hotel at Ravenscar would have been exactly what you are looking for, and tbh it's still not a bad call providing the odd bit of decoration that is past its prime doesn't put you off.

Some places a bit of faded decor adds to the atmosphere.

Can't quite stretch to that - am now also considering the Lake District.....

Time is moving upon us now so i'm widening my search - not fussed on typ eof hotel - but it must be nice!

Suggestions por favor!

very nice, my sister got married at the Star Inn in the same village back in July, spent a night at the Pheasant and a night at the Star (same company)- both had lovely rooms and the food was excellent. Hard to pick a favourite of the two but the Pheasant would just pip it.

@ OP, it might help if you give a clue as to budget limit rather than just saying it must be nice.

We used to go there in the 70s!
