It was an impulse bid which i didnt expect to win at all. It's only about 20 miles away, but cant think of how to get it to me. :S

That looks like of work, I assume your handy with a spanner?
Im not bad, i'll always have a go, and seem to have been, in the past, slightly successful. Still a bit nervous though.I want to get it to standard spec, but the hardest thing will be finding cheap replacements for what has been raped from it.
Oh, and that engine warning/limp home mode problem. Im hoping its an easy one

Well you paid more than the last 'winner'...

Limp mode and parts already being removed? Someone knows something you don't.
You'll be forever chasing the missing parts you didn't know were missing. Do you also believe that the airbags are still in there?
Seems you can get working ones are £300-400 more, unless you're after a track car, can't see it being good value.

Isn't that always the case?
Lack of mot worries me, limp mode even more so - could prove potentially costly.
But if you're willing to work on this car to put it right, I applaud you

Why would you buy that? It's already been partly stripped and everything of value appears to be broken - is that the DSC light on as well? Completely bizarre thing to purchase. Even before it died it looked like it was owned by a muppet, check out those horrible Ebay front lights. No wonder they've been stripped.

I think you'd be pretty lucky to get a roadworthy E46 323 for £900 or less?http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BMW-323i-SE-Saloon-L-K-/...

Sold on 5th August for £400
Looks like a sound investment, OP - the value's going up and up and up.
WARNING: The price of broken and partially stripped BMWs can go down as well as up. Your home may be at risk if you spend a fortune trying to fix this car.
