Funny 'grating' sound

Hi guys, my Chimaera is my everyday car. It is super reliable, never breaks down, and has generally been a good car. However, there's this odd grating sound, present since me and my son went to TAG in June. The car has been serviced, with instructions to find the noise, but apparently it wouldn't do it when they roadtested it! Anyway, any ideas what it might be? I can't really tell where it's coming from either. Not much help I know!!!

It's from somewhere around the engine, usually under 3000rpm.

I had this on the Cheddar Gorge run, tracked it down to a loose cam......embert

It all started after I ran over a Welsh Rarebit.
