Fair enough that he can afford it even if I find him an irritating little prick but surely a 16yr old would never be able to handle those types of cars, he will crash and probably hurt himself quite badly but he probably couldn't care less.

Should save his money. Let's be honest, he is not exactly an enduring talent. He'll certainly be washed up, and he'll very probably be a smackhead, in about 10 years.
