I've had piston failure on my lovely 147 2.0 engine. I *really* don't want to scrap it if I don't have to. If I want rescue the car in a way that makes any financial sense it needs a new engine at a good price. I've found cheap, but I've been warned off some engine suppliers and fitters with horror-stories of cowboy service and dodgy fitting.

Can anyone recommend a reputable supplier and fitter for a new engine and suggest how much you think it should reasonably cost for a proper job?

Cheers.

Called them. Totally different class of service and knowledge. Big thanks.
