Last night i blew the dust off one of my LP's (!) Husker Du - New day rising. Still sounds as raw and fantastic as the day i bought it back in 1989. Any other Husker Du fans out there.

Personal favourite on this LP is "The girl who lives on heaven hill" Fantastic stuff...

Probably my most bestest band of all time, with New Day Rising being my favourite LP. The Mould/Hart dynamic makes all their output nigh on schizophrenic especially on the aforementioned album.
On the belated live affair 'The Living End' the stuff from New Day is given some added tempo with storming versions of Heaven Hill, Celebrated Summer and a bloody brilliant rendition of Terms of Physic Warfare.
Bob went on to write 2 solo records before recording some of his best ever work with his band Sugar, with Copper Blue and the ep Beaster being absolute essential listening before reverting to solo status which he continues with to this day. He's just made several appearances with Foo Fighters.
Grant has been less productive but still tours solo, it would be fantastic if they were to reform but those in the know say that it'll never happen. Shame as I only got into them as they split.
