Yes, the morning weather was terrible, I arrived sodden and by the time I'd put the gazebo up (mine is the trike) there wasn't a lot of point in hiding under it! Much respect to Rob once again for organising such a great event.
Thanks for the comments from Rob, myself, Natalie from Naomi House and Lyn from the Concorde Club (the other organizers!). We think we have raised nearly £5000 so an incredible amount considering the weather. doorman said:
Great pictures, more important good camera and great lens, but above all, someone who knows what there doing, well done
Thank you Sir! It's a new lens - 20mm f1.7 pancake on a Panasonic GH1 micro 4/3 body, I only bought the lens Saturday moring. I'm rather chuffed with the pics, certainly the best I've ever taken. The image quality and depth of field are far better than the (more expensive) 14-140mm that came with the camera. I actually found it quite liberating not having a zoom to play with. It made me think more about composition and forced me to move around to get the best composition. With the zoom, I just line up, zoom to fill the frame and click. My favourite is the TR6 bonnet, really really happy with this pic.
Do I know what I'm doing? Not really, I'm just a holiday snapper. All of the pics are straight from the camera, with no mucking around in photoshop (with the exception of two pics of James Martins car that I accidentally underexposed, just added a bit of brightness/contrast to those). I'd like to say it's because they don't need tinkering with, but the honest truth is, I wouldn't know where to start!
Thanks for the compliment & glad you enjoyed them.
