Watching hobo atm and although it's cool in its own way, this is the same guy who did THAT scene. Yeah, that one. One of the most devasttingly good monologues ever caught on film.

So why isn't he bigger?

By any chance did you watch Bladerunner at the cinema, and are now watching Hobo on the portable TV in the spare room?

I know where youre coming from, but im one of those aholes with a telly way too big for his living room. Also blade runner is incredible even on the smallest screen.

Ladyhawke is I think one of his best, however he did another medieval epic, (google reveals Flesh & BloodO and another one I had forgotten - Salute of the Jugger - ace film.

Blimey - he has made a LOT of films

Blade Runner is my most favourite film of all time, The Hitcher is in my top 5. Love both of those films to bits. I also loved Salute of the Jugger and Split Second too.

Rutger Hauer is working quite a bit as IMDB will attest. His current and future releases (with roles) are:

2011 The Letters (in production)
Benjamin Praagh

2012 Sound of Mind (pre-production)
Sargeant Oliver (rumored)

2012 Il futuro (filming)
Maciste

2012 Dracula 3D (filming)
Abraham Van Helsing

2011 De Heineken ontvoering (filming)
Alfred Heineken

2011 The Reverend (post-production)
Withstander

2011 The Cardboard Village (completed)
Il sacrestano

2011 Portable Life
Antonio

2011 Alle for én
Niemeyer

2011 Black Butterflies
Abraham Jonker

2011 The Rite
Istvan Kovak

2011 Hobo with a Shotgun
Hobo

2011 The Mill and the Cross
Peter Bruegel

2011 Spoon
Victor Spoon

Ladyhawke is a guilty pleasure of mine too. If ever a filmm needed rescoring though...

Speaking of which, just got to the end of hobo. The music from the raccoons is on the closing titles!!

Are you suggesting there is something wrong with early 80's synthesisers ?

Sorry, but meh. Never got Bladerunner, despite being an occasional sci-fi geek in my early years.
