I recently bought a 12 stack CD changer which I'm hoping to fit to my Tuscan this weekend.

I've seen two locations on Tuscans for this - one where the tyre weld tucks away (with a section of the flap cut out to accomodate the changer), and the other at the rear of the boot (nearest to the number plate) on the left hand side. There is an indentation on the rear of the boot at this location on my car, so I'm thinking this could be the best spot.

I've got a DAB tuner on my car which I'm lead to believe is inbetween the rear of the boot and the right hand side of the rear number plate. If it's there, I'm expecting the wiring to be a doddle.

For those interested, I bought a CDX-P1280 in the states for a little under $130. I think the best deal I could find in the UK was £145.

I've got a 6 changer at the rear of the boot on the left hand side and previously had a 10 changer in a Chimeara where you describe the second option.

Some comments:

Rear of the boot:

My current option works fine, but I prefered the location of the 10 changer in the Chimeara for ease of use.

One advantage, to me, however is that I almost always have the roof stowed in the boot and the CD changer in this positon is easy to access without taking the roof fully out of the boot.

Tyre weld flap:

Easier to use when the roof is not in the boot and looks neat and tidy. I think on balance I prefer this option.

Good deal you got there BTW.

Mine was in the boot right side rear (as you look at the back). The only problem with this is when your car is hit from behind the CD changer takes a whack as well.
