Wet Pasenger Footwell

Guys,
I have some water dripping down on to the rubber pad that is stitched in to the carpet in the passenger footwell.
I can look under the dash and see water on the heatre vent tube but cannot see where it is coming from, I very much doubt it is directly above.

Has anyone cured this, I suspect screen seal or somewhere around the wiper motor?

Hi, I'm not especially mechanical so can't really help, but I'd get on the general TVR thread with this as well. Seem to remember that the heater matrix is located there and all of the electronics like the ecu, therefore I'd be pretty careful here.

Mine also lets in water exactly as you describe.

I think I have found the problem. With the car parked on an upwards incline I poured a jug of water into the area under the wiper motor and sure enough the pool of water diminished and the dripping started.....so I have just unbolted the wiper motor and applied silicon along the "seam" behind the wiper motor. It is now drying so I'll have to let you know if it has worked.

Similar, but it was actually seeping through the wiper motor mounting bolt hole, sealant cured it.

The silicone is dry(ish) and it has passed the water jug test. I think I will declare that as a success. The real "hosepipe test" will be next time I wash the car though, which is when it was worst.

Also, well within the capabilities of a spannerphobe!
