Accumate hot chim dead

Im hoping the two are related.

Went to fire up the chim this morning after a couple of weeks not being used and she was as dead as a do-do

Accumate trickle charger has not been hot before so hope this is the problem.
Any one help before I buy another

I'd be suspecting the battery first. If it's got an internal short that would draw extra current and cause the Accumate to work harder than normal.

I'd try plugging the Accumate onto a different car and see what it does. If it works normally on another car then your TVR's battery is probably to blame. If the Accumate gets hot and bothered on the other car as well, then it's damaged - but that doesn't prove that your TVR's battery didn't kill it in the first place.

Either way, I wouldn't be buying another Accumate and plugging it into your TVR until you've figured out whether your TVR's battery is the culprit. You could simply fry another Accumate!

I had a similar problem, i bought a new charger, and everything now is fine, but i had to change the connectors over, as they are different on the new ones.

I had similar problem a while ago and found that the intermediate connectors on the lead were not making full contact,fixed those problem cured.
