Hi Folks,

As title really. We bought an E46 M3 a couple of weeks ago, it has 75k on the clock. Looking in the service book, it's had the running in service, and regular oil services, but hasn't had an inspection 1 or 2 since 45k. The engine all sounds fine, I had it checked over by BMW before buying, and it was also serviced, but for peace of mind would like to have an inspection 2 carried out on her.

I'm based in Great Yarmouth, but am happy to travel to Norwich/Ipst and surrounding areas. I'm aware that the main stealers are massively overpriced, and service quality is a lottery, so am hoping some fine people off here can enlighten me as to where would be the best indy so go to for such a service. I'm not particlarly bothered about the cheapest, but the best place to go.

Vulcan in Norwich seems the closest, but have never used them.

Please enlighten me with your wisdom! Many thanks, and see you on the 25th

Love,

Churchy.

Maybe a bit far for you, (though some customers travel much further) is PMW in Chelmsford. They have a fantastic reputation for M cars and I've personally used them for 7 years. I take my E92 M3 there.

Had nothing but pleasure from and Indy called Hemingstone Garage. Always use them for my "M" just off A140, at, well Hemingstone.

Cheers guys, Hemingstone Garage did come up when I went on a google search, and are the second closest to me. I've heard good things about PMW too, but I'd like to think there is a competant BMW garage within a 60 mile radius.

Someone that has experience shimming the valves on an M3, along with vanos knowledge is my main concern, the rest of the work/service/inspection is (should be) routine stuff.

I'll make a few calls. I'm in no rush, so can take my time. Thanks again!

Herring and Palmer in Norwich are great. Independent BMW Garage near the Hewit school on the hall road roundabout. Not a flashy showroom or anything, but Honest people that know their stuff. Had nothing but good dealings with them.

Apologies for triple quote. Pistonheads kept giving time out errors - it was obviously working ok.
