Does it make sense to get a car re-sprayed prior to selling it? I guess there is a trade off between a discount to asking price for stone chips etc and being able to recoup the cost of a re-spray through the selling price. Any views?

I don't think you'd get your money back - or to put it another way, no-one can justify chipping your asking price by £1500 just for stone chips !

You will never get the money back and recent respray may also put some people off. Personally think being up front in advert about the paint condition and discounting the asking price to reflect would be the way forward.

OT but where u based? I am looking to buy at the moment :-)

Edit looked at your profile and it will be beyond my budget I think
