I'd like to have an aluminium seatpost anodised as I can't get what I want off the shelf.. Is this do-able as a one-off? Does anybody have any idea of price & who to use? Many thanks.

You can do it yourself with a kit - google it. Not sure whether you can get kits that will HA though.

For a seat-post you really need to HA or it will scratch very quickly. Just google Hard Anodising and you'll bring up your local firm.

Thants for the guidance, I didnt know the termonology. Found a local place, £75+ vat minimum charge so sounds a bit pricey for what I wanted. DIY sounds a bit dodgy... I'm sure sulphuric acid + me will only end badly!
