Porsche guys are having an event the annual Scottish Concours at Hopeton house in Edinburgh where Italian day was lots, maybe over 50-70, shiny pampered cars to see a week on Sunday (the 18th Sept)

There will be two Swiss Wax demos if you are interested as well as usual raffle a BBQ

Probably same cost as italian day to get in £5 and there will be a pay BBQ after event if you are interested.

If you want to come along and give an altenative point of view anyone with something exotic or classic can come along and park up next to the porsches to show off their car and have a look at all the other cars they are most welcome

At the end of the day the concours id for the Porsche guys but you are all welcone

Would have loved to come to this but my car is far from concours due to horrifc PH run induced stone chips - and I'm collecting more stone chips that day!

One of my friend has asked me to come along, but like B' I'm collecting more stone chips that day. I'm not a member of PCGB, but I have many friends who are, so I'd have liked to go to this. So here is what I know about the event,

We expect around 50 to 70 porsches to be on display that day.

There will be two of Swiss Wax demos, 11am and 2pm.

There will be a raffle on the day with some prizes.

There is also a BBQ which anyone can attend, but it must be pre booked at £6.50/head which is the direct cost. We have 86 booked for the BBQ at present. There will be a small number of tickets for the BBQ available on the day but I expect these will sell quickly. Aren't allowed to take cash on the day for the BBQ as hopetoun house has a tea room and the BBQ is officially for members only.

Its £5 per car to enter the show, Concours is only for club members. The £5 can be paid on the day ! or in advance to, but only appropriate in advance if booking the BBQ.

We can accept around 150 cars in total so there is a resonable amount of room available. Some of th morgan club are attending and a couple of lotus and couple of ferrari.

If anyone with something exotic or classic wants to come along and park up next to the porsches to show off their car and have a look at all the other cars they are most welcome.

For anyone that doesnt want more stone chips, hopetoun house, this coming sunday , 9am till 4pm, lots of porsches and a few kind morgan owners, one TVR (assuming it starts) and a couple of Lots of Trouble Usually Serious will be on display,

assuming the hurricane has left central scotland it could be good day.
