The wife and I have a few days away soon and are planning on stopping in Carrick Castle near Lochgoilhead. I know we have to go via the Rest & Be Thankful but beyond that I don't know what the roads are like.

I was hoping to take the GT3, anyone know if I'm likely to have grief with a low front splitter

Cheers
Fred

I'm pretty sure that Carrick Castle is a ruin, so not sure what you mean by "stopping in" it. Unless you mean Drusynie House Hotel.

But as far as I can remember the road is ok, it's single track with passing places, but there are plenty places as it can be busy. But I can't think of any particular bits that would rip a splitter off, though the last time I was down the road it was in a Discovery so that wasn't something I was worried about. smile

Could be a ruin, just picked it up from the address of the hotel.

Thanks for the info

Been to loch Goil with work a couple of times and the road seemed civilised enough (all be it in a focus hire car), only thing I can think of is the hotel at Goil head has massive speed bumps (old school Tarmac lumps) other than that wouldn't have thought you'll have to much trouble.

I'm desperate to take my scoob up on those roads in the near future.

Have fun.
