Website - your thoughts please ...

A mate of mine wanted me to photograph some of his restored foot pumps so that he could get a website set up. He then asked if I could do the website too. I have no experience of this, so could only offer using the Photium system because I use that myself for my photography site and know how to configure it.

It seemed (to me) to produce a reasonable result ( Heritage Foot Pumps), but I would welcome your comments and suggestions for improvements. Photium is definitely not designed for this sort of thing, but at least I could get something reasonable "up and running" within 24 hours.

The pictures look good, really crisp

Only thing I found was the site seemed to be very slow to load?

Clean and crisp website all in all. Although, that moving banner along the top clips the company name which you might want to tweak.

Nice clean website with good clear images. The only thing I'm not so keen on is the font used for 'Heritage Foot Pumps'. Perhaps you can think of some kind of logo?

Yes, I need to fix that. Just needs the "header" image redesigning. The scrolling banner position is fixed; but that's what happens with a template-based system! Thanks for the comments Rob.

Thanks for that Gemm. There was deadline to get something completed before thay had a stand at Beaulieu, but now we can start tidying things up a bit. We were looking for a 1930s style font, and that's what was chosen initially.

I'll echo Gemm's comment except I don't have a problem with the Font - it looks like it works quite well on the banner for the stand - but integrating it with a logo could be an enhancement.

A couple of tweaks to the web site have already been mentioned. Other than that I think it should suit the purpose and the prospective customer market very well.
