HUGE matt grey plane just took off out of Heathrow?

Hi guys, just outside my work in Colnbrook and a massive matte grey plane just took off and came over our way. It was ridiculously big! I'd say bigger than an A380 or or a similar size definitely. It was really tall with a stubby nose, 4 engines, and the tail fin at the back was unusually tall compared to other planes. Stuck up really high. It didn't have any airline markings on it at all, but had what appeared to be a few little red markings on but couldn't make it out from where i was. Anyoen know what it could have been?! never seen one here before!

has a much smarter stopping distance though!my mate flies these for the RAF, i could ask if it is anything unusual.

It is a much more modern aircraft than the C-5 and has a different mission i.e. it's a tactical lifter rather than a strategic lifter. I think it can take off unprepared surfaces as well.
It certainly can.With no fuel onboard it can take off within a few hundred meters. Needs to be fueled immediatly though.

Although equipped and capable to refuel inflight it's not something we do with ours. With no fuel onboard it can take off within a few hundred meters. Needs to be fueled immediatly though.
IIRC becasue it needs a USAF style flying boom to do it rather than the probe and drogue System the UK , USN , USMC and various other forces use
