Ignore the doubters. Yes, you do need to replace the coil packs after 30,000 miles just in case, and yes, they use oil as fast as it can spill out of the BP Gulf Of Mexico leak, but if you follow the recommendations in the owners manual for starting and shutting off, and make sure it's properly serviced and looked after, and check the oil weekly, they're bloody marvellous cars for the price. BUT, do make sure you always have a warranty. Extend the Mazda one if you can.
