Was on way to Tatton Park on Bank Holiday Monday last week, to see the Noddy attractions (my Daughter's 2), when I was passed by a 550/575 Maranello (not sure), followed by an AC Cobra and finally a wicked GT3 RS. Anybody know who these guys were and where they were heading? Oulton Park perhaps?

Wicked piece of kit the RS, would swap for my E36 328i 4 door anyday. Any takers ???

Maybe they were going to Le Mans nice and early?

I'm sure the RS owner would be amenable to a swap if you asked nicely. After all, they're awfully impractical and Porsche even ran out of silver paint for the wheels. I ask you.

Maybe if I cant swap for an RS, maybe I could swap a standard GT3, put some stickers on it, get me old trusty emulsion brush out and give the wheels the once over. Nobody could tell the difference !!

LOL, nah it just looks like an Ultima chassis at the moment and will do for another two years while I get around to doing something with it Plenty of nice pics on www.ultimasports.co.uk tho' or www.ultima-gtr.info

Nice idea re GT3. I wonder how many RS replicas we'll see?

Good luck with the Ultima build, seems your Mate thinks you can't do it. Should think it'll cost a couple of quid. Best of British.

Cheers - no, Greg knows it'll get done. Even if I have to get a Filipino or ten to chip in and take until 2020. I'm not that technical, but I'll do the donkey work and let the spanner men do the tricky stuff like wiring and fuelling. I've mainly been collecting bits for it - costs a fortune - but I'm picking up a gearbox/clutch/flywheel/starter plus some other bits soon and I've already ordered the ali panels from the factory. So it is moving as a project, kind of

I am also looking at small block chevy engines in the next month, probably just the basic 350 block to be built up to a 383 stroker by 2019!

Whilst having never eaten a hat before, and not really wishing to, I reckon I'll have evolved a second hole in my arse before you finish that damn car, Colbeck!

So what will it be first I wonder... a ride in this mythical "Baron" projectile or a spin in an Ultima, resplendent with a brass plaque proclaiming "Built by Domster and a cast of thousands"
