£1000. Where would you put it?
Discussion
Having a bit of a challenge with a mate of mine.
We were wondering just hoe much you could make on this amount over a 12 month period. Just a bit of banter to begin with but it got me thinking just what is possible.
Short of sticking it all on Red or Black (god damn ant n dec), and buying a cheap car and punting it on for a hundred quid profit what would PH do?
Period is open to change, i suppose a better way to do it would be to make as much back as quick as possible.
So, where would you put it?

If you start trading cars its a lot of work for not a lot of money.
And if you sell more than 7 in a year the IR etc will get interested. Its a business.
Short of the 3.30 at Kempton or a big accumulator there is not much.
As you say transaction costs are significant on small sums.
RBS shares strike me at a dead loss but you never know.

Or another option, OP can spread bet EURCHF by buying 1.2010 and selling 1.2090 and reloading again at 1.2010, stopping out at 1.1980 on a spread betting account. Should reflect the nature of that ccy pair the way it's being manipulated by SNB safely without risking any massibe moves.
