Stuttering when first running
Discussion
Evening all,
I have a mk1 1.8 which I'll be servicing soon (and have another thread running about).
However, sometimes when starting off, when I reverse off the drive and drive up the hill, the car can be a bit 'stuttery'. After ~10 seconds its fine and seems to sort its self out.
Can anyone think what it could be? I think it's been getting gradually worse since it started
Cheers

The usual response it to check your HT Leads Roger
Oddly enough, mine started doing the opposite after I gave the engine bay a clean. All ok to start with, but misfire developed when warm. Everyone suggested getting some new HT Leads and to be honest, I wasn't wholly convinced... but a decent set of 8mm Leads from MX5Parts later and it's not missed a beat since
