Now that I've got your attention.....

There's a Oktoberfest style festival on the 7th & 8th October at Kings Meadow, Reading. Same site as the Real ale & jazz festival in the summer.

Yeah, a definite possible, will be good practice for my stag do (that's my excuse anyway, if one is needed).

EDITED TO ADD: Beerfest thing is on for two days, Friday & Sat, the group list refers to FRIDAY NIGHT OCTOBER 7TH.

I've also added this into the SAS events diary. We need 4 more for a "corporate table" which would give us "A reserved table / Table service / House beer and wine within the price / An inclusive meal", I will find out more about it and the cost. All options are open at this stage.

If its anything like the real ale and jazz festival, the VIP area looked fairly plastic chairs and party food. Zero degrees normally presents a better food option

The "VIP/Corporate" section looked st at the Real Ale festival. Just a roped off area that's further away from the action with some plastic flowers on the table

I'd rather eat at the usual Zero Degrees and then move on down to the Beer festival afterwards.

In that case, I'll see if we can get a discount for a group booking without the corporate table bit

Have contacted the organisers to see what they will do for us. Will post update once I hear back.

The answer is we can have a massive £1 off per Gold Ticket for 10 of us so probably not worth the bother/risk of a formal group booking... needn't stop us meeting up though

Yes, on the website they are listing 4 different ones. With it being a German beer festival you'll probably have to drink it out of a stein though
