Interesting use/mix of lume! I quite like the blue glow too smile

I like the hands; I prefer it to the original PO hands. I think it's because the shape of the lume area is different. Also applied numerals rather than lume. I didn't like the lume numerals of the current/previous version.

Is the sub-dial at "3" a chronograph or a second time-zone?

I agree. If you're now looking for a PO, it's a tough decision to make. The original PO is already a classic and takes many styling cues from the old Seamaster 300 (I might be wrong on this, but I don't have time to check!), whereas the newer version is more modern and sharper.

Will it age as well as the original PO though? Also, I suppose the decision is made easier by the difference in price! It's only going to be us who are interested in looking at that movement smile

The sub-dial is chronograph hours and minutes, with small seconds at '9' smile

Chronograph I think (can't access the youtoob) - a good idea but as it's a 60min scale you'd have to squint a bit I'd think (well, those from a certain generation would anyway, ahem....)

This is true but the PO never did anything for me. If I wanted something with styling cues from the old SMP300... I'd buy a big triangle SMP300 thanks. biggrin

Have to say I'd prefer the lume to be all one colour but I do rather like the blue.

The display back is a nice touch too - one of the only things I think my P.O. is missing!

I'll probably be in the market for one if I ever lose or break my current one... Great bit of design smile
