Hi all, I posted this in the wrong place this morning so its here now (hope this doesn't count as cross-posting?)
I've been trawling the net looking for info on exhausts for Ford's 2.8 v6 Cologne engine, the one with the siamesed exhaust ports. Apparently back in the 80's a British company tried a system that plumbed the single ports into one pipe and the siamesed ports into another - ie the front left and rear right ports were one 2 into 1 and the front right and rear left were another 2 into 1.
Had some correspondence from a chap in New Zealand via the Sierra Club (the engine came out my sadly rusted away xr4x4i estate) who remembers these but the company that made them has moved on and makes air con systems now and no-one there was much interested.
I wonder if anyone here ever came across such a system, it was supposed to have been quite effective but the introduction of the 3-port 2.9 pretty much killed it off for motorsport. Plus it was most likely a bit of a nightmare to fit the pipes round the engine bay!

never heard of that setup, but sounds intriguing biggrin

i know just janspeed type tubular manifolds work a treat on the 2.8 tho, as it would seem the cast ford ones are pretty restrictive rolleyes
