I haven't been there for a few years, is it still as good as it was?

Hit and Miss - had good and bad meals there, service has been the one constant, attentive and good. There are far better, really enjoy The Outsider or The Cellar Door just down the road from The Tower. Depends what your looking for ? Many more suggestions

Haven't heard good things about it in a while (poor recent reviews in particular) and seems to be more expensive than it deserves.

I am really looking for a really good lunch venue to take a visitor to Edinburgh to.

Hmm have been told that the portions are tiny and some very mixed reviews.

Managed to get a table at Tom Kitchin's new place on Castle Terrace, perfect.....I hope!
