My Dad has a 3" Fowler V Ploughing engine and a 7&1/4" gauge Koppel rack loco with truck.
He made three of the ploughing engines over ten years, a chap in Norfolk bought the pair, but all three won Third prizes at the Harrogate Show, as did the Koppel.
The Fowler weighs half a ton, is six feet long and has a steering lock-to-lock of 64 (yes, 64) turns.

Great models. Are they from from kits or plans? Are they live steam or static? Either way I would be proud to own either of those, even prouder to have built them!
I assume they were plastic kits. I have no idea what company made them.My grandad also did plastic airplane kits like lancasters.
He died when I was about 2 years old so I didn't get to know him very well.
