Was looking for some advice, the badges on my boot have seen better days and I would like to take them off. What's the best way to go about doing it? Hesitant just incase it takes some paint work off! It's a 15 year old car but the paintwork has been looked after and I would like to keep it that way!

Thanks

Warm up with hair dryer then either get something plastic or some fishing line behind them and ease off.

You'll probably need a bit of (Autoglym) tar & glue remover too.

On one of the BMW forums, someone was advocating the use of dental floss to slide behind the badge and loosen the sticky once you'd softened it with the hair dryer.

I don't fish, so no fishing line, but I've always used dental floss, works a treat smile

Yep, have always used a kettle and a credit card. Takes literally minutes!

Then a good polish afterwards to remove the remaining glue. I've always used tcut followed by a polish, however I'm sure there are much better products out there!
