Stupid TVRCC website...

Just been on the TVRCC website, purely to do some research, as I am looking at purchasing one in the future (hopefully), but to find anything out you have to join! Surely a car club should promote is cars, and give model information, etc on the cars so that prospective buyers can find out a bit more... Bloody useless! Grrrrr There should be buyrs guides, specs, etc, available to Joe Public on the website, as it is the biggest TVR club in the land... Grrr...

Now I see what you mean - lots of helpful stuff but preserved for exclusive use of the members.
How will you get more interest in TVR if it's not up for public consumption...
...then why should it be available to all and sundry when you can pay up a modest amount and show your intention to support TVR and the CC...

If you want to add more let me know, either in the S Forum or even on the club site.
We could also do with some authors/editors for some of the other model series. Come on there must be a Chimp owner who can read and write

Don't want to sound patronising, but don't put anything in firstname. Just username & password, which is supplied in magazine.
The TVRCC website is so bad I hardly ever go on it.
Considering how brilliant Sprint magazine is these days it's surprising the website should be so bad.
They need a TVRTED or someone who knows how to put an informative and fun site together ..

Its a non-profit making organisation that is made sucessful or otherwise from member input. As you correctly state, with a few exceptions, the club is run through voluntary contribution.
What do you get for your £35?
Minimum £5 discount from every TVRCC track day you attend - and they are well run and cheaper than many of the alteranatives out there.
12 magazines delivered to your door every year.
And access to a website if your up to the technology involved.
I personally happen to thinks it value for money and will continue to support it.

The one confusing thing that might be causing people problems once they have the details, is it looks like there is a full stop at the end of the current password, there isn't it is just part of the way the text has been laid out.

Never done a TVRCC one as the bookatrack ones have seemed cheaper in the past (also well organised)

If some of the money for the membership went to the Local Area CC then I'd be happy to agree, my only "use" of the TVRCC is the local meet which I sporadically attend but they could do a lot more for TVRCC members if they had their own membership fee and the "National" one was less IMO.

We attend three meetings, and two out of the three have their own method of funding events and newsletters, in addition to that available from "Head Office"
