Please stop laughing every other sentence its annoying, not funny and unnecessary. The sport is great and this is the climax of the European season; you can do a great job commentating on the sport without all this pretend jollity.

Thank you !

Not saying they don't and I know they are very knowledgeable.

My point is that I find the constant laughing and chuckling off putting and the commentary doesn't need it.

Grow up people ! Its an opinion.

I am over myself. Look they are sports commentators and yes they do a good job generally, very on the money when it comes to knowledge, information etc. I like the facts, figures and information regarding drivers, standings and commentary on the race. Yes they do that really well, so good that I don't think they need to turn it into a comedy double act that isn't funny. Ditch the silliness, not necessary. Can still enjoy the job !

I was at another drag race recently and the commentators did all what the Pod guys do without all the constant silly stuff, it was informative and enjoyable and he really enjoyed his job too, and when he injected some humour it was measured and funny !

Never mind, can't say anything on here without people misinterpreting. Its a forum people.. I'm suggesting a subtle change in the commentators approach that's all. I'm not the Bogeyman. If I'm wrong and everybody likes their style (but I'm know that's not the case), hey guess what.. thats fine by me !

got to agree with rob the double act commentators with laughing after every statement is really annoying ,
there is nothing wrong with the double commentator deal but if they just stopped the incessant laughing it would be ok .

Nice chap, knowledgeable and dedicated but had his day. Does a fair job on the TV shows and I have met him and he is a really nice fella. However, he fully acknowledges Dave Lee Travis was a big influence and the world has moved on. No disrespect, just my opinion !

(Talking of nice guys in drag racing, well done Urs for winning the TF title)

Have to agree with Rob. The constant laughing has crept into the commentary this year and does get a bit tedious when you have listened to it for 4 days. I do believe that things move on but they are still a long way off the standard set by John and Graham. In addition they also seem to be trying to get laughs from taking the p*ss out of the colour commentators , which may not be fully understood by the subject when they are speaking in their second language.

As an aside, when I listen to them i think of one of those satirical kind of comedy sketches where 2 people are sitting opposite one another and throwing abuse out at each other in turns....something like fatty - shorty - fatty - shorty etc etc.

You know, I listen to the commentary (as I did for most of Thursday before I arrived at the track) and really enjoy it. I reckon that the vast majority of people listening have the same opinion..

I'm seeing an awful lot of comments from outside of PH observing the quality of posts within our sports corner on PH, and they are not complimentary..

Let's have some proper discussion please people, as opposed to silly little nit picking threads like this.. The guys are doing a great job, 12 hours a day (and more), so don't be so disrespectful..

The roving radio mics have really added to the experience. Darryl on the startline getting comments from the crew was great, (even Roger Lyren's faux pas was handled well). Colin's previous forays into the crowd to get informed comments in previous years were good too.

I would love a go at commentating, and I think I would be great at it. Believe me, I wouldn't.

10-14 Hours informative commentary for four days on the bounce? Gentlemen, I salute you.
