'59 118i lumpy idle and yellow flashing lights...
Discussion
So the yellow flashing light (looks like a catalytic converter icon i.e. something like a tap) comes on our '59 118i (2.0L) and 30k miles. Before it, some seriously lumpy idle and uneven revving (like a chesty cough really).
There's not much discussion on this particular model and faults, but I'm guessing either O2 sensor, injectors or HPFP?
Dealer taking it in on Tuesday and think they'll have it repaired by end of day. BMW Assist reckon it's driveable for short distances if the icon isn't red but not sure I'm going to chance it for anything other than the dealer visit.
Anyone experienced similar?

Not with a 118i althought yes with a 135i.
My car is in service at the moment for this exact problem. They have had it 4 days, replaced the HPFP and its still not right. Its underfueling.
Last week I had to keep pulling onto the hard shoulder to restart the car as limp mode does not provide enough power to keep up with traffic on the M4!
I am going to call the dealer again now as I am aware of issues with HPFP and dodgy injectors on the 135/335.
You have very similar sypmtoms. I was thinking it could be an o2 sensor too. Would make a lot of sense and I am going to ask them why they haven't checked this after 4 days.

Pleased you got yours sorted. Mine has been in for 2 weeks now and still not fixed. Getting a bit pissed off now.
They say it could be an injector issue but cannot just change all 6 of them under warranty. I would have though that would have been cheaper to their business than 2 weeks of labour from their master technician.
