Something I was thinking about over the last couple of days trudging the M1, there was an old Toyota Corolla being followed by a new one, must have been 15 years age gap.

So which model has been around the longest?

I'm excluding the MINI, as the Oxfordshire one doesn't count. I remember seeing loads of Mitsubishi Colts back in the 80's, and Fiestas before that. Maybe 318's?

Sure, I could Google, but thats not really making it a talking point smile

Mustang since 1964.5, although the F Series trucks pre-date it and the Falcon, which is still produced in Oz.

Sure there are probably others.

I think the MINI counts tbh, or at least counts as much as claiming a MK6 Golf has any relevance to a MK1.

You mean which "model version", or which "car with the same name"?

No 'Revivals' allowed, has to have continuation smile

Some interesting ones being brought up! I'd never even thought about the Rolls

When you say continuation are you saying that a car of the same name has been in 'continous production'?

Not quite. 1925 to 1991. Then re-started in 2003 - present.

So in with a shot for the first stint.

I know there not sold in the UK, but the Chevrolet Suburban has been in continous production since 1935 IIRC
